Sausage Balls

Gluten free, dairy free sausage balls made with turkey sausage, dairy cheese, and gluten free Bisquick—Alpha-Gal friendly and crowd pleasing.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Jennie-O Turkey Sausage
  • 1 cup Gluten Free Bisquick
  • 4 oz Vegan Cream Cheese, room temp (or soften in the microwave)
  • 1 cup Daiya shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)

Equipment

  • 1 small mixing bowl
  • 1 Spoon
  • 1 cookie scoop (or just use your spoon)
  • 1 sheet pan
  • Non-stick cooking spray or mat

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Line a sheet pan with a cooking mat or non-stick spray.
  3. Mix all ingredients together in a mixing bowl, use a spoon or your hand.
  4. Roll 1” balls and place on your sheet pan. These will expand a little but not too much so they can be placed pretty close together but not right next to one another.
  5. Once the oven is preheated, place your sausage balls in the oven and cook for 20 - 25 minutes or until done. These do not brown as easily as the regular ones do. Check for doneness in the center of one before removing from the oven.
  6. Serve warm or save for later. They are good warmed over as well!
