I just have to take a minute and brag on this restaurant and the waitress we had. It was absolutely amazing! Not to mention, the best time of year in Destin – September.
As you all know, going out to eat is a challenge. You find the restaurants that you know work for you and you frequent them; however, when you go on vacation it becomes a different story entirely. New restaurants that you know nothing about, other people/family involved, long waits everywhere etc.
One thing that always gives me comfort is that at the beach, most of it is seafood and I LOVE seafood! Really any kind, but my go to at beach restaurants is always grilled shrimp. Of course, I have to go through the whole list of things with the waitress/waiter about no butter, no seasonings with magnesium stearate, can’t be cook on the same spot with mammal etc. It becomes stressful and overwhelming especially when you’re sitting there with 9 family members waiting on you to order.
But that’s why this story made the blog. Our waitress y’all, she was AMAZING! She had all kinds of things going on – even a table behind us where she was having to use her cell phone to translate their order – but she absolutely listened. She heard everything I said, asked questions, got all the info and made it happen in a short amount of time!
I ordered the grilled shrimp dinner plate, fries and a side salad. It was a ton of food but it was delicious! And I know y’all are going to be like, what…where’s the picture of this amazing shrimp. I’m new to this y’all and I mean I was hungry. When she put it in front of me, I ate it. No picture. No thoughts of a picture. Just ate! I know….I know…do better friend! I promise I will. Posts will come with a picture of my food next time.
Side note: I ordered the Pina Colada to go (no whip – because it’s dairy) – best thing I had the entire trip! Would drive back right now just for one of those!
