Versatile. This is the only word I can think of to describe this skinless, smoked sausage. Is it processed? Yes, it is processed. However, I’ve decided not to overthink or be too picky about the options that I do have. When you take mammal out of your diet there’s only so much left that you can do with turkey, chicken, fish etc.
Three meals a day, making sure to add protein as often as possible can be tricky and mind-numbing at times. Some days I don’t have protein at all just because I didn’t have anything prepared or on hand and no time to cook anything.
So this prepackaged skinless, smoked sausage that is sold to me on my grocery store shelf ready to throw into the oven, on the grill, in the air fryer or sauté in a pan…I’ll take it.
Some ways you can use this sausage:
* Grilled whole links
* Roasted in the oven – with oil and seasoning – small cut pieces
* Air Fryer – cut into large pieces
* Soups or Stews – added to the pot towards the end or precooked and then added
